I think the admins do a decent job provided the circumstances.

The admins are fairly lenient and pretty good with dealing with players that step out of line. I myself act out in inappropriate ways when aggravated which i get warned or kicked for, and it doesn’t happen again... and I think that is a good way to manage the system.

If players got banned for every little thing they did wrong then our servers would be empty. As much as IS wants to enforce the rules and create a fun, tension free gaming environment, they also have to make sure they create a balance in which the servers are still populated.

I feel that, for example, if a player swears, gets warned and then carries on after getting warned, then that is worthy of a ban. If by chance you get banned without a warning doesn't necessarily mean you are being picked out or abused, you may have just caught the admin on a bad day, or maybe he has had to deal with swearing players all day and has had enough by the time you swear...

Sometimes we need to practive impulse control, and i think players are guilty for that.

As far as the admin abuse goes... yes it happens, yes i have been a victim. But they are also human like us, and who are we to judge when we as players act the same AT TIMES. CS is a VERY competitive game, and yes sometimes players act out in aggression or swear.

It is unfortunate, but in today's society, swearing is almost a norm and is merely frowned upon. The "F" word is the "GO-TO" word for expressing oneself in many contexts.

IS i'm sure has realized this and is not as strict as they used to be. I remember the days when i would just think about swearing and got banned for 2 weeks. haha.

But anyways iI am going off topic, IS is not corrupt, if anything thery are the most lenient and helpful admin team out there when it comes to their ROE.

Hi Alan Gaskon, aka: bobby, Witchking, Gaskoon.

Right when we started ISGaming we had an incident were we had a hacker that was making use of a Steam Cafe account. This basically spawned an infinite amount of steamIDs. Every time you logged in it created a new steamID. We had infinite trouble banning and rebanning this user that based on IP and ping was from South Africa.

After many hours of enquiry iNfy tracked down the the user that was causing all this trouble. We promptly contacted Steam and made them aware of the abuse that was being committed by an employee of this Cyber Cafe.

The account was removed afaik and the hacking stopped. We permanently banned Alan and all his sub accounts.

After some time Alan came to me and apologised for his wrong doings. I then made an agreement with Alan that if he stepped wrong at least once more we would reban him and this time there would be no unbanning.

We have since banned him 5 times for reasons ranging from language abuse to racial comments. We have therefore rebanned him and this time there will be no chance of having the ban removed.

You were the single biggest negative attribute to Counterstrike and Gaming in South Africa.

Hope that clears up the reason why he was banned.

Ok i tend to stay away from topics like this but as a head admin i feel i should give my input.

Lolnoob - I appreciate you wishing to have fun and sing etc during the game but unfortunaltly this does lead to teamies not being able to communicate with each other and yes i know you can mute someone but a player should not be forced to mute a person on his team as this could lead to a disadvantage such as you may call "I see 3 b" now this player who has muted you will not know that piece of info, this being said, this server is also supposed to be about having fun so rather if you wish to have a bit of fun over the mic do it when you are dead as to not effect the game.

With regards to your incident with kokkies, yes it was not right of him to call you a noob etc but you did not handle that correctly in my opinion, rather in that case you should have said to him, "I dont appreciate the attitude kokkies please rather dont" if it then continued you should have called a more senior admin to resolve it. By tking him and retaliating you just made the situation that much worse.

Our standard policy for langauge etc is Warn, Kick, Ban but this is can be changed depending on the severity of the offence.

• 1st Offence- 2 Days
• 2nd Offence- 1 Week
• 3rd Offence- 2 Weeks
• 4th Offence- 1 Month
• Every Offence thereafter, 1 Month or longer including permanent ban from ALL IS Gaming Servers

Now if you see there that is the standard banning times taken directly from the ROE, so a player may have multiple quiet a few bans but again it is at the discretion of the admins and IS Gaming how long the player will be banned after his 4th offence. Also players do tend to get a bit over excited at times and quiet often we will recieve a apology from that player after they have calmed down and as such we occasionly shorten the ban times.

Your other problem where you were saying that you were all only playing with knives, if all players agree then thats fine but you may not attack or insult etc a player who does not follow this as the servers are not only knive maps

Now please remember that all us admins do this without any compensation and i know for myself i do it as i enjoy the game and wish to help the community in any way possible to make it better and more fun for all, with this taken into account we can not spend all our time monitering everything that happens on the servers as we all have work/school etc

With regards to the emailing, not all of us get the emails and not all can respond in a timely manner as we do get a lot of enquiries etc, so should you have a problem its sometimes best to contact a admin via steam friends, we have posted a forum topic telling all players how to join the public admin group to get into contact with admins.

You broke the rules and got banned, after being granted a second chance you did it again and got caught. A lot of people won't even get a second chance especially after doing what you did. You publicy threw a fit then you get mad at Krad for calling you out and now want to only reply to PM?

I find it funny that in your original post you try and put blame on Kokkies by linking to his stats page but you must have realised that yours can be checked as well. Just from that I'm surprised they were that lenient with you.
