My harddrive full of gameplay vids. A solid 20hrs of beta gameplay... just so keen!
Most amazing visual quality i've ever seen.
Most incredible sound effects i've ever heard.

ISGaming didn't get a hosting licence to host Battlefield 3 :( There are 5 hosts in SA, Telkom, iBurst, MWEB, Web Africa and HyperGameZ.

It is impressive, there is no doubt about that. It really shows how far the genre has gone. Animations, sounds, visuals, are simply amazing.
But just like any FPS since CS:Source... I play it for a few months and just come back to Counterstrike. It is just something about the simplicity of CS that just does it for me. These modern FPSes have become too complicated, with so many weapons, huge maps, so much cover, fast deaths, etc. And the thing I hate most... so many places to camp/hide. Not to say that is a bad, just not something I prefer.
I did just preorder the game a few hours ago, and will be preloading tonight most likely, awaiting release.
Lets see.

Nivz i agree with what you saying.. something about CounterStrike that keeps me coming back. I still put in my Bad Company 2 hours and my Black Ops hours... but css is where the gaming heart is haha!
Just a quick question, did you pre order this off origin? Im still deciding if i want to pre order it at btgames or if i should just pre order it online. What do you think is best?
I am also pretty keen on this game and i think my css gaming for the rest of the year will be quite min with the BF3 and MW3 coming out.
And Sloppy... I think the following spec will run BF3 pretty well ;)

X - I got it from Origins, prefer the direct source and don't like hard copies. Also get to preload the game starting today or tomorrow. I do suggest preordering though - since there are some nice goodies that come with.
Smurf - I do know what you mean - have played a fair share of Battlefield. It is just a completely different mindset, which does take getting used to.

Ok Niv i've pre-ordered online AND i pre-ordered a hard copy haha! one for me and one for my bro. I am not keen on downoading a 24 gig game, sop will use the hard copy and then just download the patch.
I too have been watching so many vids. 40 min gameplay vids aswell haha. So flippen keen! I think my CSS days are gna come to an abrupt halt for a while.
I already got bout 12 mates that gonna be in a platoon so gonna be boss!
So jealous that the USA gets to play from midnight tonight.
